Applying for Housing

Everyone over the age of 16 can apply to Garrion People’s Housing Co-operative for re-housing. However, the Co-operative only has 40-50 properties per year available for letting.

All houses are allocated strictly on need and the Co-operative operates a points system to assess need. Factors that affect your points include:

  • Overcrowding/under occupation
  • Needing to be close to relatives who require support
  • Medical condition made worse by your housing situation
  • Needing to be closer to work
  • Under threat of homelessness
  • Fleeing harassment or domestic violence

An application form to complete is available for download here.  Please complete and return to Garrion People’s Housing Co-operative at the following address.
